Happy International Women’s Day! In honor of this day, I would like to share some information with residents of and around Denver who have hormones.
Did you know the Denver Health STD & Family Planning Clinic offers a variety of free assistance to residents of Denver, Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas counties? They do free testing for sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and genital warts, HIV testing and counseling, and the clinic provides Plan B (also known as the morning-after pill) at no charge, as well as lots and lots of condoms.
For women who want internal birth control, the Denver Health STD & Family Planning clinic offers free short-term birth control pills and intrauterine devices (IUDs), with referral to primary care for continued coverage. For men they offer referrals for vasectomies and tubal ligations.
For more information, visit their website at http://www.deverstdclinic.org.
All appointments are walk-in only. The clinic opens at 7:45 AM, but they suggest arriving before 7 AM to wait in line, as appointments are first come, first served and are not guaranteed.
